CAREER SEARCH FAQS Q:Does GTC rewrite resumes? A: Employers look at resumes, cover letters, and emails as evidence of a candidate's ability to communicate effectively in writing. We'll review your resume, provide written and verbal comments, suggest edits, offer samples guides and more. You want your voice to shine through on your resume, not ours. Q:I think my resume is pretty good as it is. What can GTC provide for me? A: It's all about perspective. How will your resume be
received? Will it be interpreted the way you intended?
Does it tell your story in a 20 second scan? Your resume is
the key document that becomes the prime information
source for all decision makers and influencers in the
hiring process. The resume is the primary tool in
a job search. Q:Must a resume be no more than one page? A: A one page resume is sufficient for a new grad or as
biographical information to introduce you as a speaker
or as an authority source. In today's market a 2 page
resume is common for careers spanning more than 10
years. Up to three pages is acceptable. Q:How is coaching done? A: All personal communication is by appointment.
We interview candidates face-to-face whenever possible.
Coaching sessions are completed by phone and email. Q:How long do I have to collect all the coaching services? A: We expect candidates to complete the coaching curriculum within 45 days. Q:Do you coach interviewing skills and role playing? A: Absolutely! The Mentor Level includes personal
presentation. Coaching on interviewing skills and role
playing are also available on an hourly basis. Q:What if I'm only interested in tips on salary negotiation? A: Consider hourly rate consulting services at $55/hr. Q:How long should a job search take? A: Multiple factors affect the time frame. The higher the
income and the more specialized the field, the longer
the search campaign. GTC's coaching program is geared to
accelerate the process and increase the probability of
multiple job offers.
